A mobile trailer unit

One of our long term goals has been to establish mobile dental clinics throughout Haiti. This long-term goal has now become a priority due to the damage to our clinic building.

A mobile trailer unit, retrofitted with dental equipment, has already been donated to the clinic. Now, we need a truck which will tow the mobile unit around Port-au-Prince to locations needing services. This mobile clinic will provide immediate help and continue the clinic’s work while our damaged building is being repaired and restored. The people of Haiti are counting on your generosity to help address these urgent dental care needs.

The Max Cadet Dental Fund, Inc. (MCDF), a not for profit corporation, was incorporated in New York State in 1994. Its primary purpose is to provide funding for the operation of a free dental clinic in Canapẻ-Vert (a town within Port Au Prince, Haiti). The dental clinic serviced over 8,000 patients in 2009, with 11 licensed dentists and a team of 10 dental technicians and other dental professionals doing cleaning, preventive care and simple dental surgeries. The clinic is operated by the "Fondation Max Cadet" (the Foundation) Haiti.

However, with the earthquake of January 12, 2010, the building housing the dental clinic sustained major damage. After the earthquake, the need for dental services is even greater based on the number of injuries and casualties suffered, and the collapse of the health infrastructure within Haiti.

The Max Cadet Dental Fund, Inc. is counting on your contribution to assist in procuring:

· a truck to pull the mobile clinic trailer

· a solar panel for the mobile clinic’s energy needs

· additional gas powered generators to insure power for operation of the dental equipment
